At Advanced Ag, staying at the forefront of new agricultural technology is a key part of delivering better results for our clients. As an independent business, we’re always evaluating new products and approaches to ensure we can provide practical solutions that genuinely improve crop performance.
Across the Goulburn and Murray Valley region, we work with a wide range of farming systems — from dryland cropping to irrigation, dairy and summer crops. To support these systems, we regularly conduct on-farm trials to assess how new products perform under local conditions. This allows us to make informed recommendations based on real results, not just theory.
One area of interest is the use of biological products designed to improve nutrient efficiency and support plant health. In recent seasons, we’ve trialled these products in crops like canola, particularly in challenging conditions where crops may be under stress or where timing limits the ability to apply additional nitrogen. Early observations have shown promising results, with the potential to support plant growth and maintain performance through key growth stages.
With increasing seasonal variability and higher input requirements to achieve strong yields, these types of technologies may play an important role in future farming systems. We’re continuing to expand our trial work across different crops and conditions, using yield data and paddock-scale results to guide decisions.
